Pure cornflower petals from Bluechai. The cornflowers (Centaurea cyanus) grow in cultivation in Germany. After the blooming of the cornflower blossoms, the whole plant is harvested and dried. The drying of the whole plant preserves the bright color of the cornflower blossoms. After drying, the stem is removed and only the tubular petals of the cornflower blossoms remain.
We then pack these beautiful cornflower blossom petals in our doypacks at 0.35oz/10g each, label them and ship them right to your doorstep – the petals are 100% pure, organic and receive no additional treatment after harvest.
Cornflower blossoms contain anthocyanins (main component: succinyl cyanine), flavanoids and bitter substances.
Cornflower blossoms are used in natural healing as herbal tea or in ointments. For a cornflower blossom tea, 1-2 teaspoons of cornflower petals are poured with 250ml/8.5 fl oz of hot water and allowed to steep for 10 minutes. The cornflower blossom tea has a floral-bitter taste.
The cornflower blossoms are free from harmful substances and can be stored for at least 24 months from the production date.
