From the beginnings as a shoes manufacturer in 1993, to the launching of an independent brand LAVAU in 2019, we have been engaged in shoes industry over 29 years. Merging years of experience, we pioneered manufacturing processes that re-use 99% of industrial waste, and introduced the first 100% recyclable flip flops in 2020. We want to provide comfortable and durable footwear for people around the world, while doing our part to reduce footprint.
How did we get our start?
Over the years, we have seen a large number of shoe factories producing shoes along with a lot of industrial waste. We realised we were in a position to do something about the world’s plastic pollution problem, and the idea was born to create a footwear product by using recycled plastic.
What makes our products unique?
Unlike many other manufacturers of footwear, LAVAU flip flops are 100% recyclable. Recycled plastic makes excellent sandals because it is highly durable, super comfortable, 100% safe to wear against your skin, and can be recycled over and over again.
